Our stopwatch is built on the browser's high-resolution `performance.now()` API, providing microsecond internal precision. The UI displays milliseconds for the perfect balance of visual flow and accuracy—more than enough resolution for athletics, gaming, or scientific timing.

There is no limit to the number of laps. As you record more, the list below will automatically scroll, allowing you to review all key points in your timing session.

LAP records the current elapsed time as a split point but keeps the clock running—ideal for tracking segments within a continuous activity. PAUSE stops the clock entirely (for breaks or interruptions) and can be RESUMED later without affecting accuracy. Use LAP when the activity continues; use PAUSE when it genuinely stops.

Yes. Because timing is based on your device's system clock rather than counting loop iterations, even long pauses or app switches won't cause drift. When you return, the elapsed time reflects real-world time passed, not just active screen time.

After completing a session, you can manually copy your lap history to a notes app or spreadsheet. The lap list is designed to be readable for transcription; full export features are planned for future updates.
